It is commonly believed that it is the manager's task to motivate their employees. In order for us to feel motivated, we are dependent on a sense of mastery. A good manager should create the conditions and follow up on their employees so that they can master and succeed to a greater extent; a high degree of mastery creates motivation. To achieve this, we must do what we have decided to do and do it in the way we want to act; implement and comply. This is what we call "discipline".
