This is where you learn to make sure you really understand what the issue is before you draw your conclusion. In confirmation, we stretch and challenge the assumption that we understand each other well enough for there to be safe grounds for moving forward. When we then act on the basis of the conclusion, it must be as risk-proof as possible.
